EMDR & AF-EMDR
At Making Space Psychotherapy, we are proud to be a leading clinic for trauma and relationship therapy in Hamilton, Ontario.

Our team includes licensed EMDR therapists who can provide EMDR and expanded forms of EMDR such as Attachment Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) and Somatic EMDR.

This allows us to offer personalized and effective care for individuals navigating complex trauma, relational challenges, and nervous system dysregulation.

We are especially proud to offer AF-EMDR based on the extensive training our clinicians have completed with the world-renowned and esteemed Parnell Institute in California. This training makes our therapists uniquely qualified to provide support for complex trauma, childhood abuse, attachment trauma, and to work with those who have found that the standard EMDR protocol did not work for them. If you are interested in working with an AF-EMDR therapist near you our team is here to help!
Our trauma therapists are also trained to work with recent events to prevent trauma from settling into the system -- this means we ideally avoid seeing PTSD symptoms manifest. If you would like to connect with a psychotherapist near you to address a recent event we can help!
As specialists in trauma therapy, we are committed to delivering innovative, evidence-based treatment.
You can work with an AF-EMDR therapist in Hamilton, an EMDR therapist in Burlington or an EMDR or AF-EMDR therapist online.
Our team is here to provide quality support.

Maybe you can't decide which way to feel about something?

If any of this sounds familiar you may enjoy IFS therapy with us!

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is one of the key modalities we offer at Making Space Psychotherapy, and it plays a central role in how we support healing and self-discovery.

You can work with an IFS therapist in Hamilton, an IFS therapist in Burlington or access IFS therapy online. You choose where you feel most comfortable and we will support you in that space.
We believe that healing happens when you reconnect with your core Self, and IFS therapy offers a clear path to get you there. If you are looking for thoughtful, attuned support through IFS, we would be honoured to work with you.
If you are seeking IFS therapy we welcome you to reach out and begin your journey with us.
