Trauma-Informed Sex Therapy
EMDR
I am a Psychotherapist with more than 10 years of experience supporting individuals, couples and families. I specialize in complex trauma, betrayal trauma such as infidelity, C-PTSD, and sexuality & intimacy issues. I also offer trauma-informed sex therapy for individuals and couples, including same sex couples.

Are you currently struggling? Overwhelmed even? Have you been thinking about working with stuff from your past? Are you a couple seeking help? Or perhaps you are an otherwise high functioning couple with some trauma in your history that you want to explore together? Maybe just one of you has suffered harm?
Whatever brings you here I am happy to hold space for you and offer active support. Let's connect the dots from past to present so you can (comfortably) be more present and alive with yourself and within the world around you!
I bring specialized training, life experience as a person and a parent, plus a diverse working background in social service and psychotherapy settings. I also bring my personal experience with the loss of both my parents, as well as sudden changes within my life, that make this work extremely passionate and rewarding.

My professional experience comes from a rich background in this field, working with grief and bereavement for the last six years where I developed and facilitated disenfranchised grief support for individual and group therapy. This includes areas such as grief by suicide, substance related death and sudden death. I also have several years of experience working with individuals and couples who struggle with complex trauma due to childhood abuse, vicarious trauma, estranged relationships and infidelity. I have also been working with individuals and couples who struggle with their intimacy and are looking to reconnect with their sexuality in a healthy way.
I have training in EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, Parts work (IFS-informed), Gestalt therapy, CBT and Trauma-Informed Sex Therapy.
I completed my graduate studies at Yorkville University and St. Lawrence College, and my undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph-Humber.

I offer a variety of modalities including EMDR, where I work with painful core memories that are causing coping strategies that no longer serve you. I also pull from a psychodynamic approach, parts work (IFS) and Gestalt to truly get an idea of your whole self.

Beyond my Work:
When I'm not working, you will find me out on the beach with my daughter or hiking out in the woods. I love being outdoors, listening to live music or cozy by the fireplace with a good book. I hope to try new hobbies this year including pottery, learning the guitar and paddle boarding!
